In her native country, the former Yugoslavia - an area that has been under the influence of various cultures for centuries - Dijana Bošković comes into contact with music of Slavic, Western European, Turkish and Hindustan origin.
Her works combine traditional, jazz and pop music with the ideas of the European avant-garde. Her musical language seeks to overcome all stylistic dogmas and to search equally individual compositional answers to spiritual and socio-political themes across cultural, religious and linguistic boundaries. Another characteristic is the reference to tonal centres and a reflection on the great power of slow, harmonious breathing.
